Golfing

For those that enjoy golf, we have a number of courses all within a 20-30 min drive from Tulach Ard, including Abernethy, Ballindalloch, Boat of Garten, Carrbridge, Craggon and Grantown on Spey. For more information on Golf, and local courses please ask.

Ski-ing

On the Piste!! For the more adventurous guests, Cairngorm Mountain offers the perfect opportunity for ski-ing, snowboarding on other snow-related activities.

Strathspey Railway

The Strathspey Railway (now into their 40th year), links Aviemore to Broomhill Station (also known as GlenBogle, made famous in TV series, Monarch of the Glen).  Sit back, relax and let the power of steam take you on a journey to remember.

Cairngorm Mountain Funicular Railway

CairnGorm Mountain is home to Scotland’s only funicular railway. This is a unique visitor experience that allows people of all abilities to reach the Top Station where the Ptarmigan Restaurant is located with panoramic views from over 3,500ft. There is also a  viewing terrace, exhibition, shop and the highest post box in the British Isles.

Loch's & Castles

The Highlands boasts some of the best lochs, castles and ruins.  At these fine historic buildings, Scotland's heritage past comes to life, eg: Cawdor Castle, Ballindalloch Castle, Fort George, Lochindorb, and Loch An Eilean but to name a few are just some of the best recommended places visit for those interested in Highland History.

Landmark Adventure Park

If you would enjoy a day out adventuring outdoors, Landmark, which is located a few short miles away on the outskirts of Carr-Bridge, is a must for all the family to enjoy, discover and have a memorable adventure. The Park is approx. 35 miles from Tulach Ard along a scenic route taking in Aviemore and Kingcraig.

Kincraig Wildlife Park

Twinned with Edinburgh Zoo this amazing conservation facility is home to many endangered species. Whether you want to drive around or take a stroll you are sure to be delighted with the young, older and new arrivals at the Highland Wildlife Park.
